SPIKEY™ has flat edges and rounded corners and the lengths of its spikes are measured precisely to avoid internal damages. The user's fingers are safe and free (as opposed to brass rings) so they can't break and, it's difficult to remove from one's hand.
SPIKEY™ does not release chemicals like tear-gas and pepper-spray.

SPIKEY™ was conceived by Sifu Sapir Tal after one of his students was attacked, and was only able to escape after she was carried for almost a 100 yards. He realized how much women needed to have some protective tool, as well as the know-how in handling themselves when attacked. Most of the tool is held within the palm of your hands while the protruding parts will come into contact with the attacker. SPIKEY™ can be held so firmly by the fingers so that no one can snatch it out of your palm.
